When I started my blog in 2025 I craved an outlet that I could escape to avoid essentially everything. The job I was in was honestly draining everything out of me, I love retail but holy moly. If you know- you know. I didn’t know what I wanted to focus on for my niche. All I had was a blog name and a desire for flexible scheduling and doing something that truly mattered to me.
What My First Year Taught Me
In the first year of blogging I was humbled real quick. I needed consistency, more organization and the willingness to learn. I started with just an iPad and Canva and of course Pinterest. That was my entire tool kit. I was also trying to plan out my wedding at the same time of starting my blog, as well as getting ready to move and my dog had puppies! To say that I had my hands full was an understatement.
If someone had told me that one year after starting my blog I would already be going through a rebrand, I probably would have laughed… or cried.
Honestly, probably both.

The New Direction for This Blog
I had two main goals when I first started my blog in 2025. The first one was more personal. I wanted to create a lifestyle that offered more flexibility as well as freedom compared to what I was currently experiencing. While the second goal was to show others that there are endless opportunities within digital marketing and blogging.
After reflecting on this past year, I realized that I really only accomplished one of those goals so far. I created the outlet I needed. I created a space where I could write, reflect, and grow. In 2026 we start to show and talk about the reality of starting a blog and getting a foot in the world of digital marketing. What works and what doesn’t. Which tools to use and the routines to put in place to make sure your blog is truly set up for success.
Why I Believe Blogging Matters
Everyone has a story. Everyone has a voice. Everyone should be given the chance to tell their story and have it be genuinely heard and appreciated. A blog is a safe place where connections are made and experiences are talked about.

What Happens Next
In the next few months you may see a change in my content and writing. I am so glad you are here to be a part of this rebrand and growth.
As always, if you have any questions I am always here.
