Have you recently decided to start a blog? That’s so exciting! This blog post will walk you through a realistic expectation of what you should accomplish within the first 90 days of being a blogger.
Making sure you are crystal clear on what you want your blog’s niche to be is going to be super important! This will help you figure out who your target audience is and create a problem/solution you want to help your readers with. Having a problem/solution type of writing style will help keep your reader intrigued and coming back! I suggest planning out your blog posts for a month at a time. This will keep you organized but also not overwhelmed.
Design your branding kit! Having a kit where all of your colors, fonts, logos, headers are stored will make content creation a breeze. You should have at least three solid posts published before you start advertising your blog. This will give your readers something to enjoy when they first discover your blog!
For the “foundation” pages you should have an about page, contact page, as well as a privacy/disclosure page. Having these set up from the beginning will help set up credibility and clarify any questions. Signing up for Google Analytics will help track how your blog is doing in terms of what posts may be doing better than others and what platforms most of your traffic is coming from.
Get signed up with email marketing right away. Send out a welcome email to all new subscribers that includes a freebie! I personally use Klaviyo for this and have had no issues so far. Focus on sharing content that relates to your blog posts. For example if you post about email marketing one week, share in your email newsletter a tracker/calendar that your readers can use to keep their own email newsletter organized.

Learn and breathe all things SEO. That may sound weird but trust me. If you want your blog to get the maximum amount of traffic, take the time to learn about SEO. This will include high traffic and low competition key words and key phrases to help market your blog.
The first 90 days is about getting your blog set up for success from the start. Find a routine that will work for you, the correct tools that will help you, and a branding kit that will help keep your content looking the best. As always if you have any questions, I am always here!
